25CrMo4 Steel
The chemical composition of this steel, specifying a higher percentage of Chromium, gives the material good resistance properties to overheating. The formation of carbides prevents the grain enlargement: the steel maintains its properties during brazing and welding and even in the malleable raw state it features excellent characteristics.

Reasons to choose Thron
Athlete: Rigidity and lightness are the most important characteristics. Very good quality/price ratio.
Framebuilder: Excellent mechanical properties together with a good resistance to overheating, without impairing the frame's resistance to loading during ordinary use. Thron offers short double butted tubes with thinner wall thicknesses: 0.9 and 0.6mm.

725 has similar mechanical and chemical properties to Prestige. I presume thats because of the thicker gauge. Never ridden a Thron frame but have used it's close relative Columbus Cromor -- heavier than 531, but yeah noticeably stiffer in the BB and chainstays.
